  O-ring is mainly used in fluid static application (For example, water, oil, air, chemicals solvent, chemicals, etc. ) . The temperature range is from -60 ℃ up to 220 ℃. The pressure in static application should be less than 20MPa, which varies with different materials. Sometimes O-ring is used in dynamic application with the pressure less than 5MPa and also used in semi-conductor vacuum seal.

Materials and Applications:
NBR nitrile rubber seals: suitable for the petroleum series hydraulic oil, glycol Department of hydraulic oil, ester of lubricating oil, gasoline, water, silicone grease, silicone and other media. NBR sealing is the most widely used, lowest-cost rubber seals. Discomfort for polar solvents such as ketones, ozone, nitro hydrocarbons, MEK and chloroform. The general temperature range is -40 ~ 120 ℃.

HNBR hydrogenated nitrile rubber seals: excellent corrosion resistance, tear resistance and resistance to compression deformation behavior of resistance, ozone resistance, resistance to sunlight, weather resistance is good. Better abrasion resistance than nitrile rubber. Apply to the washing machine, car engine systems and the use of new environmentally friendly refrigerant R134a refrigeration system. It is not recommended for use in the solution of alcohols, esters, or aromatic. General use temperature range is -40 ~ 150 ℃.

Silastic ring SIL: has excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, ozone resistance, resistance to atmospheric aging. It has good insulating properties. However, it has lower tensile strength than ordinary rubber and it is not oil resistance. It is applied to appliances such as electric water heaters, electric irons, microwave ovens and so on, also applied to a variety of body contact supplies, such as kettle, water dispenser. It is not recommended for use in a large part of the condensed solvent, oil, concentrated acid and sodium hydroxide. General use temperature range is -55 ~ 250 ℃.

VITON fluorocarbon rubber seals: better high temperature resistant than the silicone rubber has excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance and chemical resistance, poor cold resistance. It is resistant to most of the oil and solvent resistance, especially acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, and animal and vegetable oils. Applicable to the sealing needs of diesel engines, fuel systems and chemical plants. Is not recommended for use in ketones, low molecular weight esters and a mixture containing nitrate. The general temperature range is -20 ~ 250 ℃.
FLS fluorosilicone rubber seals: it has the performance of both the advantages of fluorocarbon rubber and silicone rubber, oil, solvent, fuel oil resistance and good resistance to high temperature. Resistant to oxygen-containing compounds, including the erosion of the aromatic hydrocarbon solvents and chlorinated solvents. Generally used in aviation, aerospace and military applications. Do not recommend exposure to ketones and brake fluid. The general temperature range is -50 ~ 200 ℃.

EPDM EPDM seals: with good weather resistance, ozone resistance, water resistance and chemical resistance. Can be used for alcohols and ketones, can also be used for high temperature steam environment seal. Applicable to the bathroom, car radiators and car braking systems. Is not recommended for food use or exposure to mineral oil being. General use temperature range is -55 ~ 150 ℃.

CR neoprene seals: resistance to sunlight, weather is particularly good performance. Resistant to dichloro-difluoro methane and ammonia and other refrigerants, dilute acid-resistant, resistant to grease the Department of lubricants, but the expansion of large amount of mineral oil with low aniline point. Easy to crystallize at low temperature hardening. Applicable to a variety of environment and a variety of flame contact with the atmosphere, sunlight, ozone, chemical resistant seal link. Is not recommended for use in the chemicals of the acid, nitro hydrocarbons, esters, chloroform, and ketones. General use temperature range is -55 ~ 120 ℃.
IIR Butyl rubber seals: tightness particularly good heat resistance, resistance to sunlight, good ozone resistance, good insulation properties; polar solvents such as alcohols, ketones, esters, have a good resistance, can be exposed to movingvegetable oil or oxides. Suitable for chemical resistance or vacuum equipment. Is not recommended to use with petroleum solvents, kerosene or aromatics. The general temperature range is -50 ~ 110 ℃.

NR natural rubber seals: with good abrasion resistance, flexibility, tensile strength and elongation. But easy to aging in the air, when heated, variable viscosity, easy expansion and dissolved in mineral oil or gasoline, alkali-resistant but intolerant acid. Suitable for use in hydroxyl ions in automotive brake fluid, ethanol and other liquid. The general temperature range of -20 ~ 100 ℃.

PU polyurethane rubber seals: mechanical properties of polyurethane rubber is very good, wear-resistant high-pressure performance is far superior to other rubber. Aging resistance, ozone resistance, oil resistance is also quite good, but the high temperature is easily hydrolyzed. Generally used for high pressure resistance, wear-resistant sealing areas, such as hydraulic cylinders. The general use of a temperature range is -45 ~ 90 ℃.

Rubber products in order to reduce friction and adhesion role to achieve the desired state of lubrication or the purpose of easy to install, can take some of the surface treatment.
Short-term, may take the following manner:

Long-term, can be taken in the following ways:
- Halogenated (fluorinated) processing
- PTFE coating

- Coated with dry film lubricant
